North Loop Studio was honored to be the stewards of one of Minneapolis’s most iconic photo studios. 1018 N 5th Street had hosted thousands of photoshoots over the past several decades as Stafford Photo, Periscope and North Loop Studio. Leah Bartizal
General Manager
As the General Manager, Leah Bartizal brings an extensive creative background to North Loop Studio. She has worked in the photo industry in several roles, including being a professional model, a photographer, a photo assistant and a technician. She worked at the studio several years prior when it was operating as Stafford Photography and she has worked for national brands such as Sesame Street, Mr. Bubble and Village Naturals. She received a Liberal Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
Alex Eaton
Owner
As a Minneapolis native and North Loop resident, Alex Eaton forged a friendship with studio owner Joe Stafford in 2016. Having had a successful career as a photographer and business owner, Joe retired and sold the property to Alex in 2020. With Joe’s encouragement, Alex founded North Loop Studio, restoring the property once again to be a premier photo studio in Minneapolis. Alex works professionally at his real estate business, and has degrees from University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Minnesota.
